November 5, 2014 Report

“SO, WHAT DOES A GUY DO WHEN HE IS ABOUT TO TURN 79? AND

HE’S STILL IN REALLY GOOD HEALTH… AND OPPORTUNITIES HAVE

NEVER BEEN GREATER?”

(I’m glad you asked! Here is the answer, in my case:)

First, I must admit that I do, in fact, turn 79 in November, and that I really am in good health. Second, I honestly cannot see any signs or reasons to start phasing back or sizing down my ministry or practice at this crucial time! And here are some of the reasons why:

1. I just figured it up and I have been serving in ministry for 64 years! (The earth’s crust was still warm when I started!) I was 15 years old when I was called as music and youth director at Oaklawn Baptist Church in Bellmead, near Waco, Texas. Since then I have served in many places and been called many things, some of which I can repeat! I will continue to honor my calling as long as there is breath, energy, opportunity, and resources to do so!

2. We are continuing to offer professional counseling from the Christian perspective; the need is great, and we still do not turn anyone away for financial reasons! Also, through the Dayspring Institute, we are still training and certifying Life Coaches, Pastoral Counselors, and other Christian leaders.

3. Our programs and curriculum materials are accepted to be used in at least three colleges or seminaries next semester; and additional opportunities on-line, in person, by radio, and through publications, have been offered. Qualified, dedicated people are standing by, ready to help make these things happen, and some have already begun with no guarantee of payment or compensation.

HERE IS A TIMELY IDEA THAT WOULD ACCOMPLISH TWO GOOD THINGS!

See watcha think: If you’ve been blessed or impressed to do so, help celebrate my birthday by supporting this ministry with a one-time gift of $79 (a buck for each year of my life) or $64 (a buck for each year of my Christian service). Of course, any amount would help and be greatly appreciated! Mailing address is Dayspring Ministries – 3317 Finley Rd., Ste. 168 – Irving, TX 75062
